Best Cities to Visit in 2013
We love to travel and we like to travel far. What are the best trending places to travel for 2013? Lets take a look at The Republika’s picks!
10.-Beijing
For a plain bang for your buck, you can’t beat Beijing. Even if the airfare isn’t cheap, staying, eating, and moving here is going to be less expensive and more rewarding than most other places in the world. A big city with the old and new to enjoy.
9.-San Francisco
One of the most beautiful cities in the United States, San Francisco is a place were you can dine at the finest restaurants, visit picture perfect landmarks and take a ride to wine country for an excellent weekend. Its not cheap, but its worth it.
8.-Mexico City
Another cheap place where the best of today meets the best of yesterday. A colonial city mixed with modern architecture, great tradition and ancient pre hispanic ruins make Mexico City a place of immersion. With the greatest quantity of museums in any city in the world there is always something to see.
7.-Rio De Janeiro
This place is about to get expensive. With the world cup just around the corner, 2013 will be the year to go an explore one of the wildest cities in the world. Take a walk through Copacabana and Ipanema Beach and enjoy the beauties Brazil has to offer!
6.-Istanbul
Where the west meets the east. Istanbul has been recently featured in high end films as an exotic mysterious place. Asia an Europe unite in this fantastic setting that brings you the best of both world in a single place. Certainly one of our picks for this year.
5.-St Petersburg
Russia, one of the most expensive places in the world, yet an unknown place for many americans. St Petersburg is one of Europe’s more modern cities, and even though it is far north it still manages to maintain the neo classical european feel thanks to the design made by the italian architects that built it. A city of ideas.
4.-Prague
Czech Republic is still kind of cheap compared to other great cities in Europe. It has some of the best beer in the world. Prague Castle, the Astronomical Clock, its night life and great food make it one of the premier stops in eastern Europe. Don’t miss it in 2013!
3.-Singapore
With its great skyline and modern megalopolis attitude, Singapore may one day become unaffordable for many of us. Its not cheap, but its well worth the price of admission. High end restaurants, top of the line hotels and the best stores in the world make Singapore a tough act to beat. The best thing about Singapore? Its mouthwatering food!
2.-Tijuana
Don’t believe the hype? Tijuana has become more than the former idea of brothels and bars surrounded by violence and curios shops in Revolución Street. Today its become one of the best culinary cities in Latin America. With Valle de Guadalupe just around the corner be prepared to feast yourselves with some of the best food in the world. Its no wonder Antony Bourdaine, Andrew Zimmern and all the major chefs in the world want to grab a bite.
1.-Jaipur
I may go out on a limb, but the entrance to Rajasthan is a place to behold. Jaipur is a shoppers bargain dream. With its many sides, Jaipur is surely to excite anybody in different sorts of ways. From its awesome Fort to its water palace, Jaipur is my number one pick this year.
