The best soccer players in the world continue to shine as they’ve already scored more goals than teams do in a complete season. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have 19 and 16 goals respectively and Neymar in Brazil has 17. Its still early in the season to determine who is going to win the best scorer of the year, but the same names are coming up that shined last year.
Cristiano Ronaldo is having the best start fof his career and with 161 goals in three years with Real Madrin he is a threat to Raul’s record as the best scorer for the capital team. Raul came up with 362 goals in 16 seasons a mark that could be broken in half the time. Neymar still hasn’t decided to go all the way to Europe to test his skills against the best in the world, so many are still wondering if he can excel at the top level. You have to prove your talent in the biggest stage in the world before claiming the crown that currently belongs to the Barcelona star, Messi.
Ronaldo has more than half the goals scored for Madrid this season which is something of a stat by itself. Last Sunday’s game was as good as they come as both stars scored twice for their respective teams. This was more of a loss for Barça fans as they have had won all games this year. Having Ronaldo score on their home turf twice is as tough to swallow as anything. This game also had some political implications as there have been manifestations of independence by the catalunians that’ve been headlining the news fronts this week.
