It’s been known that in order for the Wii U to succeed it has to be released before the end of the year. Rumors suggest that it will come out to the public sometime in the fall. Release date for the new motion system by Nintendo may have been leaked yesterday on a Gamestop manager’s conference. An accesory maker, PDP, may have leaked the release date when he said that their accesories would be available by the Wii U’s November 18 release. Even though PDP has alady denied this it makes all the sense in the world.
Nintendo has released their last two systems on a Sunday, the Gamecube on a November 18 in 2001 and the Wii on a November 19 in 2006. Black Friday comes just 5 days later and it should be noted that it would be unwise to release the system after that. Call of Suty Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 will also be released around that date so it would only make sense that Nintendo brings out its heavy artillery around this time. There isn’t as much hype for the Wii U as there has been for other systems. The Wii U failed to impress with Nintendo’s underwhelming keynote at this year’s E3. They had a big opportunity to impress, instead they didn’t give viewers enough for them to hype the system.
