Facebook has 83 Million fake accounts
In a business where targeted marketing is the main thing, Facebook faces multiple problems with fake accounts and accusations of faking banner clicks. 83 million accounts are fake, more than half of them being duplicates, that are used as alternate accounts or remade ones. Roughly 15 million are uncategorized accounts such as pet’s and another 14 to 15 million are spammers. This comes at a time when Facebook faces accusations of running clicks on advertising. Facebook claims around that it has 955 million users, with this it comes down to 872.
