Olympics already under way. Opening Ceremony Tomorrow.
Despite the opening ceremony being tomorrow, the Olympics are well under way with Women’s and Men’s Soccer matches already played yesterday and today respectively. Six women’s games were played yesterday and Eight are scheduled for today. Even if the Opening Ceremony hasn’t happened yet, the games have begun and competition is happening as we speak. There was a minor upset today as Japan beat Spain in men’s soccer. Spain is one of the favorites and is expected to be heading to the finals against Brazil. Mexico, another of the big dogs was also held to a draw by an Asian country, South Korea.
There are many stars that will be featured in this year’s summer games. From swimming, basketball, track and field and soccer; well known names will be competing for a gold medal. Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, Kobe Bryant and Neymar figure to be on the public’s eye. London 2012 figures to be one of the best Olympics ever. They are certainly one of the most organized. Tomorrow will mark the official start to the games in what figures to be a spectacular show.
