Microsoft invests $300M in Nook
In order to compete with Apple and Google in the eReader department, Microsoft has invested a good amount of money in Barnes & Noble’s own tablet, the Nook. With this investement, Microsoft now owns 17% of the company and can now introduce its own version of the iBooks and Kindle store to its Windows 8 OS. We can expect to see a Nook app to appear in every mobile device and computer that features Microsoft’s latest version of their flagship product and finally start competing in the same playing field as it’s main competitors.
