NFL Week in Review
Another great week of NFL action for the well informed bettor!
The Republika offered 3 picks for week 5, two of these primetime games.
Our record for week 5 comes in at 2-1.
My Oakland-Houston OVER pick came short by 4 points. I really felt that Houston could have scored more than 24 points in this game, being without stud WR Andre Johnson was the difference here in addition to the well inspired Oakland play paying tribute to NFL Icon Al Davis.
Green Bay visiting Atlanta, going back to last year I kept saying to myself this Atlanta team looks overrated to me, now it is confirmed. Give them some credit, they came out with a nice plan and went up by 14 over the reigning champs, but Rodgers oh my god! Relentless accurate strike passing in the second half cut the Falcons wings and covered the spread. Rodgers a total QB Stud. ! a nice win for the Republika’s NFL picks followers!
And last night…what can I say about the Lions, they are explosive, the D-Line is probably the best in the league right now and I really like the fearless Stafford. Unfortunately for Chicago their defense is not playing to the elite level of years past and the O line will get Cutler in the hospital at some point this season. Lovie you always get some love from me, this time I will back down because it really did not look like you enjoyed being dominated the second half of the game.
The Republika’s overall record stands at a profitable 9-3-1 YTD
Overall for the season (all games): 48-29 (62.3%)
Week 5 record: 10-3.
Looking into week 6, (these are only leans and not official picks).
TampaBay(+4.5) hosting the Saints as home dogs, I like this spot for the Bucs, coming from an old fashioned beating gets you motivated the coming week, and they face an inconsistent defensive Saints team that almost lost last week.
Dallas visits New England(-7) which should set up well for the Boys after a bye week, the Patriots could get caught looking forward to their bye week.
And don’t you just love San Francisco(+5) going into Detroit and catching them guard down after their big Monday night win, I am now jumping onto the Frisco bandwagon, they certainly impressed me with their 3 tight ends spread as wide outs and pounding draw plays with huge blocks down the field, I like that style of play and it covers spreads!!
Onto Week 6 !
