Apple Stock Falling

Apple Inc. (AAPL) shares fell less than 1% in early trading Thursday following the death of Steve Jobs, the company’s chairman, co-founder and visionary.

The market’s reaction mirrors the modest selloff in August when Jobs stepped down as chief executive. In past years, Apple shares often reacted dramatically to news of Jobs’ health and appearance; however, more recently, his health developments have had less impact on the stock because of Apple’s rapidly growing business and the acceptance of Jobs’ seemingly worsening condition.
